The Story…

Southridge Country Store is a family owned local grocer on Pender Island, BC. Rob and I have a passion for elevating your daily food experience. Together with our friendly, knowledgeable staff, we focus on bringing in ethical brands and organic produce. I source high quality local and imported foods that reflect my passion for providing healthy options for you and your family.

Southridge became part of our life quickly and with abandon! After the sale of our restaurant, The Cafe at Hope Bay, we were offered the opportunity to buy a dream project from John Miles, the previous owner of Southridge. We poured our love into renovating and transforming the space into a prefect balance of country charm and top shelf products. In just a few short weeks we were able to open the doors to the Pender Island community. We then moved our food truck, The Cafe at Large, from the winery and gave it a permanent home next to the store, and all this happened while having a baby! 

When Covid hit, we continued evolving, closing down our cafe to turn it into a production kitchen where we could make delicious foods for customers to take home. We started a cheese club and shifted our focus to what we do well, what we are truly passionate about. 

At the heart of our business is two key ingredients, Food and Community. We value both and plan to serve our island and her guests for a long time to come.
